when i click the bottom right corner ethernet/sound icon i see my wifi but i do not see bluetooth. the setting to turn on/off in settings>bluetooth is not there. the bluetooth driver from my motherboards website will not install. it says does not support this operating system. i downloaded driver from intel, it installs, and i see it in control panel, but when i go to device manager there are no bluetooth drivers. there are no windows updates i can install. not sure what else i can do.

What version and build number of windows 11 are you running? Are you running an insider build?
Is the BT driver you are trying to install Intel Bluetooth Driver[22.170.0.2]?

Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

If you installed Windows 11 on a Laptop that doesn’t support Windows 11, and you try to download Windows 11 drivers from the manufacturers website, this is what generally happens. Not supported.

Go into the BIOS and look at the settings for WiFi/BT.
The driver for the chipset should also be installed.

i did the windows troubleshooter
asus X670E hero
i tried the latest version from asus, and the previous version.
i also thought about the bios, but have not checked yet. it was working, so dont understand how it would turn off in bios, but will check.

i upgrade my parts every year dude. excuse me for not remembering to change the specs on a website. i don't need members like you to provide drivers. i know how to install drivers. as previously mentioned, i already tried the driver you linked.

when installing the driver from intel, i get a message that says are you sure you want to upgrade from version 22 to version 23. i find this strange cause even after i install version 23, it still asks me if i want to upgrade. almost as if its not recognizing that i already installed this driver.

still don't see it in device manager. tried uninstalling the driver, restarting, installing new driver, restarting, it still asks me if i want to upgrade from the old driver, even though i can see the new driver in control panel.

These things usually just work out of the box. You can bend a needle on a socket when installing a processor, for example, and then something won't work. I don't think the driver version is important.
If a clean install of Windows doesn't help, it might be a hardware problem.

i figured it out. i found a reddit post that said turn off the power at the power supply. don't understand, but it worked.

Well if I get something inexplicably glitching, I always try a complete shutdown. It is surprising how often this fixes things as any interface cards can "hang" and powering down sorts it.
