Win 11 Pro
Hi Everyone
Purchased a new PC and getting the above error. Have tried the usual ie SFC, DISM & MEMTEST as well as
updating drivers for my Realtek Network card. Have also tried older drivers but to no avail. Am running Win11 Pro version 24H2
build number 26100.3476.
Have run V2 and the results are here DESKTOP-6BAVK1J-(2025-03-21_12-14-22).zip
If anyone can assist, I'd be grateful.

If I had a brand new PC, and it was an OEM machine, I would use the manufacturer update app that comes pre-installed to update all drivers. If that didn't solve my problem, I would be calling the OEM support or returning it to where I bought it for a refund or replacement..... so as not to do anything that would void my warranty.

Please perform the following steps:

1) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

2) Uninstall Adguard and Norton software:

nllstm nllStm c:\windows\system32\drivers\nllstm.sys

adgnetworkwfpdrv adgnetworkwfpdrv c:\windows\system32\drivers\adgnetworkwfpdrv.sys

3) Create a new restore point

4) Reinstall one of the uninstalled software

5) Reinstall the second software after 24 hrs of stability

6) Microsoft defender can be used instead of Norton AV

7) Run Sea Tools Long generic test (all drives) > post images or share links

https://www.seagate.com/content/dam...ds/seatools/_shared/downloads/100869623_B.pdf

https://www.seagate.com/content/dam...shared/downloads/SeaToolsWindowsInstaller.exe

8) Run HD Tune (all drives) (run an old version so that it produces results for the whole drive)
HD Tune website
a) Health
b) Full error scan

9) Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

chkdsk /b /v

Run these chkdsk switches on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /b /v C: or chkdsk /b /v D: or chkdsk /b /v E: etc.

Make sure that the windows drive runs overnight while sleeping.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /b /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Type: Y

Reboot as needed.

10) After completing all chkdsk /b /v run:

Batch files for use in BSOD debugging - Windows 10 Help Forums

Batch files for use in BSOD debugging - Windows 10 Help Forums

Make sure that this runs only after the prior three steps for each drive.

11) Run HD Sentinel (all drives) > post images or share links (do not run until posting results for each steps 7 and 8, 9 and 10)

Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring
a) Overview
b) Temperature
c) SMART

12) Please make sure that all of the above steps are performed in sequence

These steps / tests can be performed overnight while sleeping:

Thanks, I have done more research into the problem and narrowed it down to AdGuard. Seems others have the issue despite asm recent patch being released that promised a solution.
A tip was to turn off wfp in the network set up in AdGuard. My PC is a work machine so I won't get to test properly until next week.

I think it would be wise to test this. Will report back.

Thanks for your kind assistance so far.

AV can compete with other AV software.

AV can compete with Adguard.

It's easy to uninstall and reinstall then monitor for stability / instability.

Please make sure that drives are tested.

Apologies for the delay in reporting back. Family health issues.
Anyway, all tests were run. The program causing the issue was Adguard. Turned off WFP and for the last week (so far) all is good.
Many, many thanks.
