Thanks to all for your help and suggestions. I tried everything and it is not a computer issue but an issue with the camera. It is still usable and works fine I just cannot plug it into the pc I have to take the card out and pop it in the card reader and that automatically brings up my image program. thanks

You might want to have that camera looked at cause who knows what other issues may spring from the issue you already have.

Just don't leave it in the card reader! I once left mine in there (thankfully, I'd already transferred the pics) and managed to set up an ISO to install Windows on it!
