Hi thereTry the command again without the "C:\Windows\System32" part. It is just the default prompt when you open a Command Prompt at administrator. The correct command is:
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
You can copy-paste that to save you typing it.
PS: Do I have to remind fellow posters here that it doesn't always takes 30 minutes for a clean installation? Yes, this is only for installing Windows. What about all the rest of the applications you must reinstall and reconfigure? Unlike an office computer that has maximum 5 applications, a typical home computer can have over 30 installed and this means at least one day, if you have that much free time, or a week if you don't. Let alone the time needed for backup and restore of all user data. So a clean installation is not a panacea, it is a LAST resort if anything else fails. The point of these threads is to provide a solution, if any, not to tell the OP to give up and do a clean installation!
If it's a corporate computer there will be all sorts of I.T help around -- I assume that this is a domestic or basically non business type of type of environment -- and yes try all sorts of things --agreed but if you are just going around in circles it's often better to start again from scratch. Yes of course on big projects like building an airport etc you can't just give up and start again !!!
The OP's tried all those suggestions and for one reason or another they aren't working - and the OP hasn't showed me the output of the simplest determinant if the windows system is hosed -- just show me the output of the windows defender main security menu -- couple of mouse clicks with a screen capture. If that shows it's not available or throws up an error then the Windows system is actually broken beyond repair.
Cheers
