These started showing up in my email about three or four months ago. At first they were about every month then they got more frequent. Now they appear several times a week. The sender is Photobucket, to me. They all say the same thing "do you want to keep your account? Your free account has been deactivated and may be at risk of deletion. If you'd like to keep your account and any photos you have uploaded, please login in and upgrade today."

Then there are two links to click. "Keep My Account" and "Delete My Account". When I first saw them I would click on "Delete My Account" since I've never done any business with Photobucket and have nothing there to keep or delete. Clicking on delete did nothing at all as far as I can tell. They continue to come several times a week now with the same exact wording. Is there a way I can keep them out of my emails? They are almost like a virus but doing no harm as far as I can tell, except annoy me.

Another interesting thing about them is that I can't find any in my Trash folder. I don't know where they go when I delete the emails.

Be careful. Have you inspected the email address to confirm these are actually coming from Photobucket?
Especially as you said you have nothing to do with them.

Emails from Photobucket are probably from:

support@photobucket.com, no-reply@app.photobucket.com, or no-reply@photobucket.com

As long as it ends in photobucket .com

Never click on a link in an email unless you can confirm (by looking at the email address) they are coming from the entity claiming to be who they say they are.

Report them as spam. Evil corporation that once offered free pic storage who is now trying to use everyone's pics to extort money.

I report is as spam because it teaches the email server to treat it as spam for other people too. If you just create a filter then it doesn't teach the server anything.

I've been using the "delete as spam" all the time and it doesn't seem to learn. But that was from Mailbird. This time I used "report and unsubscribe" in New Outlook. Maybe that will make a difference.
Edwin, what is the top link to the "Logitech" picture you show. How is that brought up?

"Report and unsubscribe" will probably make a difference. "Delete as spam" was probably just a local rule the mailbird client used.

I replied to photobucket years ago to tell them what I thought of them extorting money from people who took advantage of free storage a decade ago. I told them to keep sending me emails so I could teach google to regard them as spam. The more they send, the more I get to report as spam. If enough people report it as spam, then google will send it straight to the spam folder for everyone. Lots of emails that I want are suddenly going to spam because other people are reporting them as spam, so I have to mark "not spam" to try to keep them in the inbox. That's how I know it works.

This is so easy... If it's really Photobucket, usubscribe option will be at the end of email. You just click on it and voila! Now, if you're not sure if it's really Photobucket or no, then easiest way is to just click report it as a spam and all their emails will go automatically to your junk. Easy peasy!

All kinds of spam end with such an unsubscribe option as well.
But in reality they often lead to a scamming site!

I learnt to never click on any link in mails I did not ask for and/or come from sites I never had any relation with.

Before you know, you could have a virus or worse, ransomware in your system. Very easy.

True, that's why I told him to click unsubscribe button only if he's sure it's a legit Photobucket email, but like I said, easiest way is to just report it as a junk/spam and it will solve the problem.

It is not, because he told he never has been a customer of Photobucket nor has uploaded any files to it:
I've never done any business with Photobucket and have nothing there to keep or delete.
In the spambox of one of my mailaccounts, lots of mails about accounts being ended from Credit Card companies, banks and other come regularly. I never had any creditcard and the banks that are mentioned I never did any business with. They all want me to click on links to renew my accounts. Typically, the link below the message to unsubscribe is, when you look at what it is really leading you to, exactly the same as the links to renew the account.

I'll repeat it: never click on a link in a mail that you did not ask for.
