Conflict with Win11 upgrade requirments.

Hello,

PC Health Check says TPM OK, and ready for Win11

Windows Update says not OK and not ready for Win11

What could be the problem??????????????

So much hate and discontent, when dealing exclusively with Microsoft. So here you are, looking for answers!

Life is just so much simpler, when you take MS out of the equation.
Installing Win-11 does not need to be complicated. NO 12 step programs.
It's actually a very simple three step process.

1. Download the Win-11 ISO from a trusted source. Not necessarily from Microsoft.
2. Burn the ISO to a Flash Drive, using latest version of "Rufus", taking all options.
3. Boot up the PC with the Flash Drive and install Windows.

Then what you do with Windows after it's installed, is up to you.

Alas... after turning ON Secure Boot... the problem still persists, as reported by Windows Update.

Is your firmware TPM (PTT, Platform Trust Technology) enabled? I don't see any reference to that in the list.

Some motherboards have BIOS updates that enable the features required by Windows 11 by default. Are you using the latest BIOS for you motherboard? (Insert usual disclaimer that a BIOS update can brick the board. Unlikely, but possible.)

I suppose that you mean that the OP could use one of the work-arounds to install 11, regardless of whether it could be done through Windows update or not.

Try restarting the computer. Windows Update typically only shows the results of the last check for updates.

Fixer's advice is 'on the mark'. Just make a System Image to one of your internal drives or external drives. Do a clean install with W11 from a flash-drive and all should go well. If it doesn't, use your W11 Flash Drive to access your System Image Backup. Personally I like to use the Windows Download Tool and use it to create a W11 Flash Drive for repairs and new installations.

Even though Windows Update continued to report Win11 upgrade incompatibility,
I simply downloaded the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from...
(microsoft.com/software-download/windows11)
(Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe)

...and it installed flawlessly.

Alas... and after all that, I had to roll-back to Win10 because of a major problem.

For some reason unknown to me, some programs which present dialog boxes like color pickers etc; the upper blue area of the dialog box known as the "title bar" was entirely missing.

This meant that the mouse pointer was not aligned with the desired function underneath the mouse pointer.

I believe that since the title bar was missing, the pixel-count normally beginning from top edge of the dialog window, started where the main body of the window commenced. Thus, for every mouse action in any context, I would have to lower my mouse by about 1 centimeter to find the active hot-spot for correct mouse action.

you need to find & update those programs that are fully compatible with Win11 before trying the win11 upgrade again

Upgrading from one OS to another (the Windows way) is always a bit of a gamble, I find. Better to do a fresh install and add your favourite aps and programs afterwards. There's usually just too much that can go wrong. I'm not saying it never works because I've done it, but I find with Win 11 it is especially finicky due to the TPM and secure boot requirements that come with Win 11. Rufus can be a great help with this, even with systems that have all the requirements.

Anyway, welcome to the the forum Sunflower Guy. Don't know if you're the same Sunflower Guy I purchased a laptop from a cpl years ago but if so, just to let you know it still runs great and the wife loves it! :)

He also needs to have a disk for mobo drivers and the chipset (or download the latest versions). Plus update BIOS.
