I've been struggling with an issue where my system randomly crashes to bios without cause or reason. the system can be sitting idle and it will just crash, sometimes having just recovered from the previous crash. there does not appear to be any BSOD generated by the events. this has happened a few times in the past couple months. the last time it occurred I uninstalled GoG galaxy and the issue seemed to go away but now it's back, worse than ever. the last time this happened I tried using the driver verifier tool according to recommended instructions and it very nearly bricked my machine, the system would instantly freeze on login and would have to be hard booted and I couldn't find a way to disable it from safe mode. luckily I had a single restore point I could restore to that seemed to correct both issues.

the issue started up again last night. checking update logs the following items were installed yesterday:
2025-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5051989)
Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.423.167.0) - Current Channel (Broad) (which I was able to uninstall)

I also installed Windows 11, version 24H2 this morning, which did not correct the issue.

with each crash I get the following error:
Code:

I don't know what to do and have no idea how to keep this from happening. the last time around I tried everything, dism, sfc, even chkdsk. nothing seemed to work short of the system restore and I don't want to have to restore my system every 2 months for reasons that should be obvious. help me obi wan kenobi, you're my only hope.
