Yes for the text. Blue, red, purple something gradient or with a glow around the lettering. I don't know. Do what you think. I really love the other folders. Nice work!!

Hardware can have gears on it I Bevel gear or other gears. Software maybe a stack of cd's with a download arrow and for discours a old 40's microphone

The icon sizes will be 256, 64,48,40,32,24,16. Do you have a preference on which should be D-Pad only ?
Should I assume everything except the 256 ?

Actually, 32 and Below is DPad only.

Just one actually.... sorry I didn't make this clear... but I wanted the dpad to be a dark green (like it's engraved in the folder), cuz lets be honest white on white won't be really visible.

I have been wanting to have an icon pack created that compliments my current theme 'Old N Style'...,

Customized W10x/11 "real style" icons seem pretty rare, and it looks like you and David are part of the very few creators of this new icon generation.
The designs and quality are amazing.

I use a 3rd party file manager called Xplorer² from www.zabkat.com that suits my needs and has a lot of features that I use regularly built-in. I've bought it and upgraded my license twice to the Ultimate license, and I use this thing every single day on my computers. One of the cool features for this program is the ability to overhaul the toolbar icons at the top of the program.

The default icons (16x16):

As you can see, the 48-sized icons are different, with more depth to the icons, and they look better.

However, I want even better icons.

Below is a description of the skins toolbar and how it works in the app, direct from the dev (the .ZIP) file.

One of the things that has occurred recently is that I've started using a 4K monitor and it makes the icons tiny AF even if I use the 48x48 icons.

On a 1080p monitor:

On the 4K monitor:

(Mind you, I realize that they don't look any different, but the 4K monitor is a 27", whereas the 10809 is a 22", so pixel density makes the latter images look much, much smaller.

I also found this set, which the original creator made in up to a 48x set, but the are still just a bit small for 4K viewing.

Now, the normal tool bar (non ribbon) is coded to use 16x16 and 32x32, and hte ribbon toolbar (which I don't use) is coded to use 24x24 and 48x48. But it is just a named file - I can take any file, resize it (using up to 48x48 icons) and it will show - just scaled weirdly, and fuzzy. That's what I've been doing, using Sabo's 48x48 icons for the 32x32 toolbar, and they are fuzzy.

So, if anyone would like to tackle making a nice, modern (and eye-catching) set that matches all of these icons exactly as in these toolbars, probably at sizes of 96x96 (I figured we can easily scale them down ourselves, to sizes of 48, 32, 24 and 16 - but even larger that can be easily scaled down would be nice) ) that would be great!

Also, if anyone does tackle them, you can also let the dev, Nikos, know and he can host them at his site. The best thread to post at would probably be beauty is skin deep - zabkat support forum

Completely understand. I'm hoping someone can help both Edwin and myself out - I simply don't have the time to put something like this together, although if I found a good set of icons that fit all of the use cases for my job, I know I could string them together into a line in Paint.Net and make use of them. But something custom made would be so much better lol. I do realize that this is a massive undertaking - in fact both my request and Edwin's are massive each and of themselves.

So no worries. I jsut threw mine out there in case someone could do it. If not, no harm, no foul.

Just a small side note and a thank you to @davidvkimball for helping me setup an option for people to donate to me via PayPal.
I did add a link beneath my signature, but unfortunately the Admin have removed the link.
I'm assuming I missed the memo where it says donations to other members is not permitted.
