did somebody created a kind of script for easy update/download the new icons?

Just download this and overwrite the folder that you have saved, you should have an option to not copy the pre-existing files when doing so

I'll tell what I do:
I git clone'd the repo (GitHub - icon11-community/Folder11-Ico: Ico repository for Folder11)
That way, if there is a new icon added to the repo, I can just run
git fetch and
git pull
to update the local folder
Now I can edit any icon if I want (like I did for the GitHub folder to include a 32x and 16x version with only the octocat icon (for the navigation pane))
and if I pull it won't replace what I edited :)

Edit: You can also make a Batch file to update the folder when you click.

If you are not experienced with Git, you can download the repo as zip every time and just merge manually on your end, though the commands I used are pretty simple and not that easy to mess up
Hopefully the GitHub repo is reliable enough for this to work, otherwise just use the OneDrive folder which should be the same.

Create a new Text Document in the folder created by the clone command.


Name it something like "update.txt".


Open it.

Write this code inside:

Spoiler: Click to open and copy code

@echo off
git fetch
git pull

Save the file (Ctrl + S or File > Save)

Rename the file to "update.bat". If you get a warning, just click Yes.


Now, you can open this file whenever you want to update the local repository

Download the last free iconfx program where you can create your own icons - then with create short cut / pin to taskbar or whatever you can in the properties select the icon that you've created. Still works perfectly on W11.
