Is it possible to configure windows 11 to default the start menu to the all apps list without 3rd party downloads?

And as a follow up is it possible to remove the promt to add back the recommended section?

the closet thing you can do currently that i know of is to go through your all apps list and right click each app you want and select "Pin to Start"

I am assuming you don’t want to use a 3rd party software?

    …still on a horse.
With a third party software like Open Shell, the Start Menu gets split between Programs and Apps.

No, because, apparently, the only ones that know how to do so, are those who develop said software! 🤷‍♂️

windhawk or use ahk to compile a script to an exe, pin to taskbar and use that as your start button

heres the ahk script ive already written and attached is the exe compiled:

Code:
#NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.
; #Warn ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors.
SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.
SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.

delay = 75
;
SendInput, ^{ESC}
sleep %delay%
SendInput, {TAB}
sleep %delay%
SendInput, {TAB}
sleep %delay%
SendInput, {SPACE}

and if you want to use that exe, you can hide your start button (so you wont have 2) via startisgone
