I’m updating my Bios. What profile should I set my Digital Power to? How do I know what the setting should be?what is digital power? Lol. Google isn’t very helpful.

What is "digital power"? The only thing I see on that is some MSI marketing speak.

The "digital power" thing is a CPU load line profile. (MSI term, I think.) Is that option present for your motherboard? If so, the "auto" setting (default) may be OK. It's mainly of interest to overclockers.

I wish that MSI offered a BIOS manual for your board.

Actually, they do. I have a copy. I would attach it here, but it’s 37 mb and this site won’t support a file that large.

That’s the version I have. It has English in the first section of the manual.

For a PDF it would not surprise me if it did end up under 2MB. They sometimes compress rather dramatically. It may not, but that is why I worded it the way I did: "Did you try zipping it?".

It’s coming out at 12 mb. Can’t fit here. But it’s easy to download from the website.

I checked the other MSI ATX motherboards also. No BIOS settings in the manuals.
Sometimes, a company will write one BIOS manual for a whole series of motherboards.

You might try calling them, and asking for a link to the BIOS manual.

I tried it on the downloadable manual. About 11MB. 3:1 is pretty good, but not close to a factor of better than 16:1.

Generally, the only things you should need to fool around with in the BIOS, are the settings for the TPM, Secure Boot, fan speed curve and maybe some RAM settings.

You may have to enable XMP, or EXPO or DOCP, (w/e MSI calls it), to get the RAM to run at the advertised speed.
If these automatic settings don't work, you'll need to set the RAM frequency, timings and voltage manually.

This is assuming you're NOT overclocking.

Some other twiddly items are things like Fast Boot (usually disabled), Boot Logo (usually disabled).


Oh... and usually you'll need to hit the F7 key to get the Advanced mode in the BIOS.
