Do you use your principal computer for game playing?

I was contemplating my answer to your question, and I just want to clarify that I refer to my predicament as a shortcoming and not a condition because it is born from intolerance. Misogyny, bigotry, racism, disrespect, arrogance, bullying etc etc set me off. I don’t look at a person and decide to pulverise them. There are some games that help me release these shortcomings. And I am quite aware that I overshare.

I have never played a computer game in my life and I have been using computers since 1990. I have never considered them as an option. In fact I always reject the offers to play computer games when my children ask me. I much prefer books be they hard back or Kindle but that's just me. We are all different.

I play strategy games, and games that are sort of designed to challenge my mind. I don't play FPS games as I am too slow for most of them and the experience doesn't last very long. I also like RPG games.

My computer, however, is usually tasked with programming and research tasks. But when it gets depressed and feels lonely I fire up something like Baldur's Gate 3, just to justify the expense of my video card and to make the PC feel loved again.

I miss my old RPGs such as King's Quest, Space Quest and Indiana Jones. When I had my Atari computers I use to play text adventure games. You only saw text and you had to type in all of your moves.

As an Electronics Test Technician who geared up to add skills to become a Microcomputer Specialist starting off at a local college for additional schooling and ending up taking course at another training site to become a PC Hardware Specialist and starting off with the MS Dos 6.0, 6.2, onto Windows 3.1 to 95 on the first used desktop and finding the old dos games to 9X titles gaming made for a good pass time when not in the middle of studies.

The other part of custom building as well as the gaming factor ended up going further as each version of Windows plus trying out other OSs entered the picture at troubleshooting gaming and other OS headaches? In the long run it has more the lessons you can learn when being able to find working solutions as a continued study beside knocking off a few villians in the 1st shooters!

I have Unreal Gold
I don't like fighting real people. I like fighting computer bad guys and monsters.

Don't get me wrong... I've played tons of pvp and pvm. I have no trouble in pvp, I just don't like it.
I "like" battling the evil computer though.

Well, I tried. You can't play it because it's not available anymore but, there still is a good following
