Does my laptop have Windows 10 or 11.........please help!

I purchased my Asus laptop 6 months ago, it came with Windows 11 Home. A few days ago, I decided to upgrade to Winows 11 Pro. Well, as you can see in my attachments, I have no idea if my puter has Windows 10 or 11, and my laptop has no clue. I have no idea how to deal with this situation. Your advice is most appreciated!

That's definitely the Insider's version as 23H2 has not been released to the general public.

Either you (or someone with access to the PC) had to have joined the Insider's program to get that version as that isn't something automatic - it's something you have to ask to join.

Can you post your "winver" version. Right click "Start" and click "Run". Type "winver" (without quotes) and post that screen - "About Windows". Here's an example...

There was a thread not long ago, someone else showed their version, said they had never joined the insider program, yet that’s the version that they had. Weird.
How did you upgrade, from where did you get the ISO? Or did you purchase a key…?

One would have to wonder if Microsofts system (by an off chance fluke) is providing insider builds via some weirdly diverted process. I mean look at the in-place upgrade for retail/standard versions of 22H2, dishing out 23H2 during an upgrade. They’ve obviously overlooked something, somewhere.
It would be pretty hard for a user to not remember or notice “Insider’ when looking to upgrade or change operating systems. Let alone that you have to register. Just a thought.

I did nothing that I haven't done since Windows 3.0. Purchased the key online for a few bucks, and made an ISO from MS main site.

Not sure where you got the latest beta ISO, but that's what you have. The insider ISO page is only supposed to be accessible if you're enrolled in the Insider program.

I’m wondering if they sold you a generic key and pointed you to a free insider version download. Do you still have the link for the download? Was it a legitimate site that you were aware of? (Not suggesting that you did anything wrong) Note the rules here though.

Then heaven only knows what version this key activated. The ISO you download is generic, it's the key that determines what edition/version.

Caveat emptor and caveat utilitor when buying keys online for a few bucks

The beta versions are supposed to be pretty stable.

Would you care to mention where you got the ISO? I pretty sure where you didn't get it.

Why did you download an ISO at all? That was not a good idea and necessary at all. You should have entered just the pro-key and rebooted the machine. Nothing else. If you didn't install KB5031483 you made a big mistake by selecting the ISO. And one last question: Why and for what do you need a Pro-version of Windows?
