I also feel during a backup if the screen turn off isn't set for never and sleep is on it messes up the backup

Yes. I noticed that too. During backup it pauses when the pc enters sleep mode at least for McCrium.

There is a little bit of subtlety to consider here. While updates cannot happen during standard or traditional sleep mode, then CAN occur while in Modern Standby.

    The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

When I found out 24H2 updated could take up to an hour and 45 minutes with all the other issues screen off and sleep would add to problems. I downloaded the 24H2 on two laptops and both took same amount of time. Nether failed.
