Yes, I will give FastStone Capture a try as I used something prior to April 25, 2019 that can handle scrolling capture on things that Snagit will not work correctly when scrolling and only does the first page. Can't remember what Snagit couldn't capture a few days ago.

No, it isn't about holding a key down... It works fine for 99% of webpages but there were a few webpages and apps Snagit's scrolling capture does not work correctly on. There was one I did a few days ago, can't remember what it was.

FastStone is the bee's-knees!
I still use ShareX for Capture/Markup On-The-Fly, but, it is rapidly becoming inferior to FastStone!
Customization abilities are almost endless in FastStone..., you can customize annotations almost as gorgeous as Screenpresso and Snagit!

A few hours ago, I was trying to do a scrolling capture of ThinkorSwim with 1800+ stock symbols. With Snagit 2024.2.4 Build 3892, this is what it captured:
FastStone Capture's scrolling capture did not work as even when I did a custom scroll, it considered the capturing done after reaching the second page.

I loaded a pdf of The Bible into Sumatra, FS captured about 12 pages and rendered a truncated mess!
I loaded the same pdf, (1867 pages), into Chrome, started a capture and left it for about 12 - 15 minutes..., it rendered 226 pages perfectly!
It would be pointless and impossible to post it, but, here's the size:

That was the link itself as it goes here, somehow the forums software is keep showing the image instead. I created the account but I don't have the login details anymore. But regardless, it seems like FastStone's scrolling capture will finish after a few seconds even on regular scrolling captures, doesn't seem like there is a setting for that.

That would be hard because it's ThinkorSwim trading software itself, not a website.
Charles Schwab and you can put in 1800+ symbols... As for a long web page, try this which hangs both Edge and Chrome but works fine with Firefox on my laptop atleast:
