I worked with dumb terminals and IBM mainframes so I have some past experience too. FWIW, this is a decent OS and follows a very good OS, Win10. I think MS did a nice job with this and they did it in a short period of time."Bad" was probably the wrong word to use. I (and apparently others) were expecting more than Win 10. Maybe that's good that there is no complete overhaul??
But there is a history of OS's and "great/not so great, great/not so great, etc.
My background in computers goes back to "BPC" (Before P C's) and to an IBM 360/20 and IBM 2260 terminals.
Honestly, I did expect much when they announced this. It's just what I expected they would do and... I like it.
