I used to use Clipboard Manager v2.2 under W7 but it errors under W11 (I haven't identified the cause after going through the code), they're now Clipa Vu, and it's not playing ball with configuration (2nd monitor placement), plus it's too bulky.
I also use 7 Sticky Notes (not a gadget or skin) which is fully configurable so something like that would be nice!

Is there any reason you don't use the built-in Windows 11 Sticky Notes? It is not as sophisticated as 7 Sticky Notes but is good enough for me. Also, Windows 11 Sticky Notes can be synced with my other computers.

Have you tried the Clipboarder gadget. 8GadgetPack?

The old Weather Gadget from 10Gadgets hasn't worked for years due to changes from Accu Weather, but it was the best weather gadget for my needs.
I'm using My Weather which is ok but it needs a solid background..I'll fix that.

My query though, was for a good clipboard gadget...

In My Weather gadget, open settings and select the first black color top left to get a solid (opaque) background. You can also select the white color if you prefer lighter background. For a clipboard gadget, I tried Clipboarder that comes with 8gadgetpack and it works OK. I keeps a small history of copy-pastes, maybe there is a setting to show the last copy only.

I did select that but it didn't make the background black. Turns out the 3rd choice down in the first column (also black, go figure..) gave a solid background. Fixed!
These UHD monitors make life hard on tired old eyes.:cool:
I'll play with Clipboarder, but so far I get a "not connected" message so it seems to want internet but can't connect to whatever site it wants to.
It works ok apart from that, but can't be configured much.

Thanks, but I prefer the old "traditional" appearance of the gadgets. I didn't find how to get it back, let alone the available gadgets were too few, so I uninstalled the new 38.0 version and reinstalled 8gadegetpack 37.0. Much nicer appearance. That's the point, not only to have the Vista/7 gadgets in Windows 8/10/11, but also have them in their original familiar colorful appearance. The new appearance in 38.0 is a little odd and needs time to get used to. No thanks, I prefer the original appearance of 37.0 and greater choice of gadgets.

I can't wait to try this. I have had a problem lately with my gadgets moving around all over the screen, Maybe they have fixed it.

Yes, but they have changed the appearance (colors, design) of the gadgets more resembling Windows 11 default icons, not the familiar ones from Windows Vista/7. If you are OK with that, install the new version. If you, like me, prefer the "traditional" familiar appearance (such as orange calendar), you better stick with the previous "legacy" version 37.0 I also read on their site that the new 38.0 version is 64-bit only, so old Windows Vista/7 32-bit gadgets are not supported! If you want to use an old 32-bit gadget or unsure what you have, stick with version 37.0 Progress is nice, but I hate when newer versions of an application remove "legacy" features and reduce backwards compatibility. 38.0 is not for me.

That's the point, not only to have the Vista/7 gadgets in Windows 8/10/11, but also have them in their original familiar colorful appearance. The new appearance in 38.0 is a little odd and needs time to get used to. No thanks, I prefer the original appearance of 37.0 and greater choice of gadgets.

Can you post a comparison of the two since I thought it would be the same as long as one had v37.0 and earlier installed and then installed v38.0 or newer over it.

Good points, didn't realize the backwards compatibility was gone until you mentioned it. Good thing my gadgets (System Monitor II, System Uptime Full Plus, Top Process Monitor - all from Igogo) still works. My only concern is 37.0 might stop working one day in the future.

True that, but I like them for the quick convenience vs looking elsewhere. My preferred eye candy source is rainmeter skins which I usually tweak and modify to some extent. Screenshot 2025-01-04 185621.webp
