It's about choice . At the end of the day this is my machine not MS's If I don't want what MS sends down the pipe then will remove it. It might seem pointless to you but that's your choice so don't knock others that have a difference approach.

Don't take it personally.It's a discussion and we are all expressing our opinions.
It's everyone's choice how they proceed but, take away some of the experiences from
others as well is all we are saying.

I fully understand what you are saying and I have not taken this personally but, you have to concede that there are people on here that because of their own way of doing things tend to put cold water on anyone that does things differently.

You use an MS operating system, Yes its your PC of course, But its they're OS. If i went to the bother you do personally i'd just have said MS OS isn't for me. Seems that way.

I removed apps and programs I'll never use. I don't remove things that I think are going to destroy the OS. Do you keep junk around your home you'll never use? I doubt that you do. Well I feel the same way about the Windows OS. I don't remove everything from Windows but If I know I'll never use it, and see no reason to keep it, It's gone.

Actually, I do. Even though I don't or won't use it on a regular basis, I still keep stuff around just in case.
Not a hoarder just like to have stuff that if people come to me and ask if I can help with one thing
or other then, I might say that yes, I actually can help.

Did those windows apps etc you removed smell or something? Going moldy? Junk in a house is usually stuff that goes in a bin or as they say un murica, Trash can, As its generally unhygenic to keep rubbish/trash lying around. Unless my apps on my pc start to smell or go moldy i'll let em stay, even if i never ever use em :) Gotta look after the racoons man

I have my collection of stuff I keep and like you, I don't have enough to be called a hoarder. What does get me is that I can have something for years and never need it until a few days after I get rid if it.

it' does not want to go away. In fact, it's back again. This is strictly a work machine and I don't want or need anything related to gaming or xbox.

Personally, one of the reasons I used MS Phone was because I didn't want Apple's 'Hey you need this!' philosophy. I feel the same way about Windows. I don't care if it's not eating resources or whatever. If I'm not using it, I don't want it and it's as simple as that. AND especially...if MS insists I use it then I am definitely going to trash it. It's *my* rig and I don't want any superfluous crap on it.
