I am having trouble doing a clean install. When i try to do a clean install, windows wont see the SSD (it is listed in bios)
I cant even use the reset this PC option because of it says "this pc was recently updated, if you continue with reset this pc you wont be able to undo this update

I have read on this forum that since I have an 11th gen Intel that I need Intel Rapid storage technology drivers.

Clean Install. Driver file for Intel 11th Gen. Which do I select?

In a nutshell... Tried to clean install using Media Creation Tool and bootable USB. Reports as 'No Drives Found'. Seems new laptop has Intel 11th Gen processor and so no driver support with the install media. It needs Intel IRST driver adding to the bootable drive. Dell have this generic...

the only download i can find is downloading a SETUP file to install them on the laptop.
I have a HP 15-dy2073dx and cant find a RST driver on their site

Does anyone know where i can find RST drivers that I can download to my USB?
Or have any ideas on how I can do a clean install and get my SSD to show up? I tried disabling secure boot, but that didnt work. I also cant find a way to change the bios from UEFI to legacy which is something I would do with W8

thank you for making this into its own thread

just wanted to add I installed Windows 11 Insider Preview 23506.1000
and wanting to get out of the insider Dev version and go back to W11 Home.
I have done many clean installs of W10 but can not figure out why it wont show my SSD in W11.
I hit f10 and diskpart and then list disk and the SSD doesnt show up there either. Only showed my bootable USB

I don't know whether this will resolve your issue, however I had a similar issue when I first did a clean install on my Dell Precision 3660 Tower Workstation a couple of weeks ago.

Had a Dell tech look into this, and he found the issue in the BIOS - under 'Storage' => 'SATA/NVMe operation', he changed the drive configuration from 'RAID' to 'AHCI/NVMe'.

Thank you....this is what i was looking for. Now to figure out how to load them during the install screen. Do you know what should be clicked on at install ?

This bios has limited options compared to what i am used to. Under Config there is a UEFI option, click that and it says Intel Rapid Storage Technology...click that and it lists all NON RAID drives....my SSD is the only one that shows up...click that and it just gives you a record of info on the drive and also says its Non Raid and its NVMe

I am a confused why windows wont see the drive when doing a clean install if its showing IRST in the bios. I also updated the firmware of the bioas but that didnt help

ok - getting that zip file from Megahertz is all i needed. Once i added it to the usb i was able to install the correct driver and poof, there was my SSD
Now i can do clean install.

FYI the driver was easy to find in the install screen. There were only 2 options and i picked the top one. Its name is different in the file vs the install screen. I will take a screen shot later when i do the clean install.

Extract the files and folders to a USB drive or just F6\VMD\f6vmdflpy-x64.
Boot the Win 11 USB installation drive as UEFI and when asked where to install press F6 and browse to the other USB with the drivers. Select F6\VMD\f6vmdflpy-x64
