Me too, my friend. 😂 I will try the upgrade process again, this time without Internet. I'm about 90% sure I already tried this, buy it won't harm to try it again.

Well, I had no luck. Again.

I tried many of the tips from previous post and from recommended topics. I disconnected the PC from the Internet, disabled all non-Microsoft services, used a fresh new ISO from Microsoft (just in case there were errors with the previous ISO)... with the same results. :(

Did you try the Rufus process and the registry files I pointed you to? I cant say it will do any better but at this point…

Perhaps a fresh install, as painful as they are. Backup your system first though.

No worries, antspants. 👍🏻 I'll avoid a fresh install if I can... I can stay with 23H2 version. Thanks for the help.

I still have my popcorn bucket waiting in great anticipation for what you will be asked to run next.
If I am going to make someone run naked through the streets of my hometown (which I do often) I tell them why, first.

Check the health of your disk with Hard Disk Sentinel, if 100% do the short test. If it passes, do the long test. Check your RAM with Memtest, avoid the Windows version that cannot check all RAM, download the utility instead that creates a bootable USB to check RAM. If hardware is OK, run chkdsk /f to fix any logical errors. If no errors, I would "upgrade" to 23H2 first to fix any system files, then to 24H2. I think it sounds like a lot of work, but hopefully not more than a clean install.

Sure. Here's the output from Get-WmiObject:
Thanks, that all appears to be okay, just wanted to double check because there was an error in one of the CBS logs about two volumes sharing the same GUID, but it did look like it resolved itself.

I've looked through your setupact.log again and only error which I can see is related to HKCR but we've checked that it and seemed to be okay? Interestingly, another user who was upgrading using an unsupported machine had the same error but unfortunately I never got the chance to check their HKCR to see if it had any issues.

My only suggestion is to try and get a ProcMon trace and see if it reveals any useful information. It will be large (up to 1-2GB) so please place it inside of a .zip before uploading to a file sharing service.

Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Try updating the system just like you have in the past.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the square icon on the toolbar as shown below.
j8MhY5V.png

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and provide the link to the LogFile.PML file. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or WeTransfer.

Thanks, @Torus. I will try doing that. Also, thank you, @spapakons. I will try that too.

I already run chkdsk on most of my drives (I have 5 or 6), but I haven't run a chkdsk on the larger one. The thing is, it takes a looong time to finish.
I'll do that as soon as I can.

Changing subjects, I've been googling about the error I get from SetupDiag, and found a few cases that were caused by duplicated user profiles. I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right place, but it doesn't seem to be my case. I don't see any duplicated profile.

To find out, open This PC, then you Windows drive (C:). Then open the Users folder. See if your user account appears more than once and post a screenshot for further help.
