Solved Hibernation not available - solved!

I was using shutdown /h in a shortcut and then I discovered that my laptop was only sleeping - the 'power on' light was flashing.

When I ran powercfg -a only S3 was available.

@zbook suggested I run powercfg /h /type full

I did this and rebooted. Hiberfil.sys is now twice the size and running powercfg -a now gives


The following sleep states are available on this system:
Standby (S3)
Hibernate
Hybrid Sleep
Fast Startup

The following sleep states are not available on this system:
Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

I have tested hibernation, and the laptop does now power off!
