Hide Quick Access Link Icon Text

looks like winaero doesnt like to add that without adding it as a shell location. i had never tried that one. but what you can do is remove it with winaero and readd it with this portable tool. extract the setup file and it will just have all the apps as portable inside the folder. you want to run "Navigation Pane Manager" and add This PC. then you can blank the name and change the icon with that tool as well. the 30 day trial runs full featured.

only other way would be to compile an ahk to exe for This PC path and use the registry to add it manually...

No, it's okay if you have to do something else to add just an icon, I'll leave it like this.
I thought that by adding the path to This PC you could easily add other icons inserted before.

I wanted to ask you two things.

- But when someone adds folders and later wants to change the positioning, can't you do it?
Do I have to start all over again?

- and then I wanted to understand this thing about the icons, I see that some icons have edges that are not well defined, other icons are smaller or larger
I would like all the icons to be well defined and the same size, how could I do it?
is there a site where there are icons suitable for quick access?
I would like the size of the icons like that of Home, so to speak.

You need to rename them to reorder them.

Navigation Pane uses the 16 x 16 icons. So anything that size will look the cleanest.

also @linguaccia22 appears that the other tool i listed may suit your needs better, just note its a 30 day trial. but can add/rename/change icon, etc for everything you're looking to do.

Too bad about the price, a bit high for a lifetime license. For three PCs
Do you know if there is a license for just one PC? Always the lifetime license.

@dacrone I installed the program you recommended, I installed it on a second computer to see if it was worth buying.
I didn't understand anything XD

Can you help me understand how to manage everything?
I went to Improve File Explorer --> Manage Navigation Panel

but I can't understand how to add the folder of my NAS or This PC

what about the first option then.. "Add Folder". when you scroll down in the dialog box that opens and expand either This PC or Network, do your network drives or other local disks show?

No there is nothing the hard disks on the network does not see them.

The first method you showed me would also be fine only two things I can not do with WinaeroTweaker, add This PC but you already said that it can not be inserted without a name.
and the second problem I can not order in sequence as I would like.
You said to rename them but I did not understand how.
I add the Download folder then paste the empty text to remove the writing, you say to rename the folder before I insert the empty text?

you can add ThisPC without a name via the last tool that we were just talking about. i just tested the last tool for a usb drive and my nas and it recognizes both of them.. i'm not sure how yours is not showing those drives. especially if they are internally mounted drives (like you stated F: is)

first things first. post an image of your current navigation pane. and list in order what you have in the pane right now. we can then empty out your navigation pane and begin adding them in order one by one with icons only

I can't really use the Windows Manager program to add a folder on my NAS. I insert the same path used on WinaeroTweaker and it finds the folder there.
I don't understand why not here.

try putting " " quotes around the path since there are spaces in it
