How do i get the classic windows xp control panel?

hello, im wondering how i go about getting the classic windows xp control panle in windows 11? im wanting also the classic display properties and backround and theme changer. ive seen it done on youtube just wanting to know what the programs are called that are doing this?

All of the above or make your own desktop shortcut to it. Browse to control.exe in C:\Windows\System32\. Right click on control.exe-select send to-select desktop.

Some of the classic control panel items have now been replace completely and now only exist in Settings. Others have been hidden and divert to their Settings equivalent if you try to use them. The Themes settings is in that last group. You can only open the hidden Control Panel version by running this command, either from a shortcut or in WinKey+R.

Actually the easiest way to get to control panel on Windows 11 (at least the newer insider builds) is to open Windows tools, ->properties,->open file location-> send to desktop(create short cut). Now when you click on Windows tools you can see the control panel icon.

Look for a little drop down icon somewhere in the top right of the ugly Win 11 Control Panel.
I believe you want to choose "details"or small icons, it's in there somewhere.

You might have to try a couple of the options. MS doesn't want you to find it...

And... you can do some other "Appearance" tweaks with Winaero Tweaker
Well... you can do a LOT of things with Winaero Tweaker (v1.40.0.0)...
Make a fresh backup "before" you go crazy with the tweaking.

You meaning with the blue background and high lighted text? Not possible from my findings. Just go into file explorer and tab the little arrow and it's there. Has view list or category view

Or the Lunar Black Theme -- That would be nice for W11. Here's the XP system (running on a VM)

You can enable the left pane of control panel but I prefer the single pane model.

The current W11 Menu takes up far too much screen real estate IMO. The XP lines were far nicer --all ways round - even file (or then called) windows explorer had a much more pleasant looking GUI. (Alter Fonts to suit was simple in XP).

Very Cool! I did not recall that feature in XP.
I'll have to fire up the VM and try it!

I complain too much about the loss of high quality graphics and tight spacing lost to phones and tablets. Back in the day developers focused on making everything look gorgeous on a (realitively) big screen. Today, it seems, people using desktop systems are treated as irrelevant.
