how do I open command prompt from file manager?

Another suggestion

Open Windows Tools
Choose commnd prompt / power shell or whatever utility you want, properties -->open file location ->send to desktop (create short cut) - or pin to task bar etc - your choice. Then the appropriate command is available easily and simply when you want to use it.
