Certain areas of windows natively have much smaller fonts than others and the font size is hard coded...control panel, run, regedit, context menus, etc. Increasing scale helps, but the fonts in these areas will never be the same size as fonts elsewhere and there's no way to make them so.

Fonts size appearance all starts with your scale settings. You have to tweak from there a little at a time until you reach a point where fonts everywhere are at a size you can live with,.
See this thread for details.. Context menu text size
What method have you used to change the size of your system font? In your screenshot it appears very large in that disk management window.

I adjusted the font size from Display Settings --> Scale and adjusted % for Scale.
Following the reference above, I tried adjusting the text size by setting it to max or min, but the text size in the dialogue did not change.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

While we can tweak some things til the cows come home, there are some things we just have to accept and adjust to..

I don't use 3rd party apps that alter the GUI but you might check to see if there are any that can alter elements of the context menu. I have not seen any mentioned.

You are very welcome. Sorry I couldn't give you the advise you wanted.. There's no telling how man/girl-hours and how much cussing I spent dealing with fonts and font size in the various elements of windows. My biggest gripe is in regedit which, like properties, seems to follow no rules and were unaffected by the many registry changes I tried before I finally hollered "uncle". For the most part, I was able to get MOST of Windows elements very much improved.

I have really bad eyes and I will tell you that changing the system font helped me more than anything for viewability. I tried a bunch of different Windows fonts but settled on Google's "Roboto Medium" which you have to install. If you are interested here's how to do it. Roboto has a number of fonts if you don't like the semi-bold look. Install Google fonts in Windows

@glasskuter Thanks for your post.
I tried the Advanced System Font Changer, but the font size of the dialogue box, as I posted above, did not change.
I selected the #4 profile and applied it.
I wonder what I did wrong. I would appreciate your further assistance.

I never said you can change the font size of the context menu using Advanced System Font Changer. I just recommended it to you as its a handy tool for changing the font sizes in areas we CAN change. We are not allowed to change every aspect of windows as I've already told you.
I truly believe you are chasing you tail trying to change that context menu.

I thought your post could be a solution of my problem.
Then, do you mean the font size I am seeing is normal?

Not only normal, but unchangeable by any unavailable means. It is hardcoded. Like glasskuter is trying to tell you.

    …still on a horse.
I'm saying it depends on multiple factors. That context (and other areas of Windows) is always a lot smaller than your regular font. What you see depends on multiple things. It depends on your scale, and what scale one uses to get the best appearance depends on what size monitor you use and its display resolution.

For example, I use a 27" display, I connect to that display using HDMI which is 2560x1440 resolution. After a lot of trial and error, I set a custom scale of 140.
I then changed my system font to Roboto Medium becauce the darker font worked with my eyes.
I then used Advanced System Font Changer A LITTLE AT A TIME to tweak each area it can change. (Note when you change icon size it affects file explorer and desktop font size.)
And yes, my fonts in that same context menu in disk management are much smaller than other elements of disk management.

I am in no way telling anyone to set their settings like mine because screen size, connection type(resolution), and people's eyes are different. My setting would not be appropriate for your 3860 x 2160 resolution at all.
My advise to you is if whatever settings you are currently using works for you in the majority of Windows, forget about that context menu in disk management that you won't use once in a blue moon. Every change you make can affect other, more often used parts of windows.

EDIT-by the way, I'm pretty sure a context menu is not the dialog box referenced in System Font Changer

I thought your post could be a solution of my problem.
Then, do you mean the font size I am seeing is normal?
if all else fails have you considered a pair of reading glasses which maybe of help when reading smaller font sizes.
i also believe that you can get pairs that are tinted as well as glare reducing.
best of luck, Steve ..

There are plenty of tools you can try.. But the image you posted isn’t a context menu, it’s a dialog box..

I never said you can change the font size of the context menu using Advanced System Font Changer.
Woe is us!

I remember in the good old days being able to change the size of the fonts in all (or at least most) of the Windows places like dialog boxes, menu bars, shortcuts, normal text, etc. by using registry tweaks. Apparently the geniuses at MS decided to eliminate that capability, so now there is a much more limited ability to tweak text according to the type of monitor we have.

I've tried all the currently available font changer programs and it seems to me that the Alternate Fontsizer you noted is the best. So Thanks for that - it isn't as good as the old registry tweaks, but it's easier to test and view different options than the other ones.

I have decided to live with the slightly smaller font than desired on the dialog box. I could make it larger by painstaking trial & error, but that makes big changes in many other places.
So, I am now done with it.
Thank you all for trying to help me.

if this looks a bit clearer to view then changing the system default font may help.

I carefully compared mine and yours and found your snap looks much better.
Could you post how to change the default system font to the Ubuntu font?

a trick that always works but isn't pretty is to lower the screen resolution.. then all fonts and all text get bigger.
