I found how to do this using the standard route, but is it doable via regedit too as I have a number of desktops to set this on?

Thanks!

You're most welcome. :-)

The note box at the top of the tutorial can show you where the date and time format settings are at in the registry. You could set this how you want in the Control Panel as usual, then export the registry key as a REG file to use next time.

thank you again. May I check whether the following syntax is correct?

Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International]
"sShortDate"="dd/MM"

Also, is there a way to index all settings headers, so I can search and get directly to the screen without going through all the options? E.g.

Lastly, is it possible to show the day of week at the "thinnest" taskbar setting? I already put "ddd" but it doesn't show though it clearly has space to show. When expanded, it will show the whole spelling instead, i.e. "Friday"
