You can no longer uninstall Edge as it is intertwined with the OS and the widgets.
Just ignore it by not making it your default browser.

This method is no longer working as MS has removed the ability to uninstall from their own installer.
Unless you find an .exe from version 106 and up, I believe.

Yes... uninstalling EDGE will break Widgets, but LOL... no great loss there. :-)

After messing around with EDGE uninstall many times... I came up with my own solution.
Bitdefender Internet Security. I just blocked EDGE and it's updater in Bitdefender's firewall, and disabled EDGE in the Task Manager Startup list... problem solved.

That way... for those one or two times I have to use it, it's still there and I can temporarily unblock it.

The more Microsoft "junk" you safely remove... the better... in my opinion.

That is so true. I let Microsoft back in thinking that they might have grown up a bit. Eleven wasn't so bad at the start, but so much crap is getting thrown into it that I'm bordering on wiping the Windows partition. Eleven gets in the way of productivity, rather than enabling it.

I just use this and click on (No) just to remove Edge Browser Only. The Widgets still work as they rely on WebView2 to work which I leave installed.
