I need a plain old calendar for Windows 11

I want it to "look" somewhat like one of these... tall, narrow... doesn't take a lot of screen real estate.
No online calendars either. No sharing, syncing, taking notes, talking to me, reminding me, planning for me.
Just a basic old calendar.

And I type like a caveman with polio or similar... no keyboard shortcuts.
In fact my WIN key has been disabled since the XP days.

C'mon folks... just a registry tweak, to undo MS's er... "improvements".

A few days ago I posted an answer in another topic, where I described the use of the old T-Clock Calendar.
Although T-Clock itself does not function anymore in the Windows 11 (own) taskbar, its calendar still does.

This is what I wrote about it:

If you want to change the way the calendar is displayed, you could use this command (or make a shortcut to that as well):
"C:\Program Files Portable\T-Clock\Clock64.exe" /prop

Although the clock of T-clock is not usable anymore (unless you would use an app like ExplorerPatcher or StartAllBack), you still can change the settings, so the settings of the calendar as well. Which is reachable under the last menu item:

I am using the version 2.4.4 build 492, which can be downloaded here

The T-Clock itself is a portable program, using about 2 MByte of your diskdrive.
The resulting calendar like I did the setting for is this:

But you can choose just to display one month at a time or 3...

So that could be an alternative for you.

BTW. The formatting of the time display was done by Windhawk.
I don't use ElevenClock anymore.

Get gadget pack and uninstall all gadgets except for the calendar. Put it wherever you want on your desktop

Post #9 this topic, is what I want.
Someone using Explorer Patcher, which can turn ON the Windows 10 calendar on Windows 11... needs to turn that Windows 10 calendar ON and OFF and have a program like RegShot, discover the registry entries involved.

Then, I could just apply those registry tweaks.

Like this, maybe...

1. Open Explorer Patcher, and open RegShot
2. In RegShot, take the 1st "shot" of the Registry.
3. In Explorer Patcher, turn the Windows 10 calendar ON.
4. In RegShot, take the 2nd "shot" of the registry.
5. In RegShot, compare the two "shots" and see the differences.

The "differences" will be the registry tweaks needed to enable the Windows 10 calendar.
Then they could just post the "differences" file on here.
I can figure it out from that.

You should start playing around with virtual machines, or even just windows sandbox, it's fun :)

I have notifcations turned off but the calendar still opens when I click on the date. What am I missing?

If you have the BELL icon on the Taskbar or the Notifications/Focus items IN the calendar.... you don't have Notifications disabled.

I came across that yesterday. Looks wise, it's nice, but it's not free and it has too much other stuff attached to it.

Do you have the BELL icon in the Taskbar... far right?

I already have everything in Settings that has to do with Notifications or Focus... turned OFF. Everything.

I'm about ready to break out my old retail XP CD, or my retail Win 7 DVD.

Then Notifications is still enabled.
See post #1, this topic.

I have no idea why MS decided to join Notifications and the Calendar, at the hip.
But if you disable Notifications with that tutorial... it breaks the calendar.

How about the Notion Calendar? Its integrated with Notion so you can use it to plan your tasks and daily activities.

Stuff like that was fun for me, about 15++ years ago.
These days... I just want things to work well out of the box.
