Please create a system restore point or a backup, then run:

SFCFixScript.txt

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

 1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
 2. Download the attached file, SFCFixScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
 3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
 4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
 5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
 6. SFCFix will now process the script.
 7. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
 8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

There's a few localised packages which I need to restore and then that error should go. The script just imports some registry keys.

I can't post the log here: "A server error occurred. Please try again later."

But I attach the txt-file.

I've done an in-place upgrade and now my winver went up to 26100.2033 also.

Still, the KB5044284 seems to be bugged lol
After a Bios update, this issue has been resolved.

I performed an in place upgrade with ISO version 26100.1742 and then installed manually kb5043080 and then kb5044284 and it worked.

I performed an in place upgrade with ISO version 26100.1742 and then installed manually kb5043080 and then kb5044284 and it worked.

although the Win11 24H2 Media Creation tool recently downloads & creates updated install media with the Oct 2024 KB5044284 (build 26100.2033) update already integrated

the Win11 24H2 ISO downloads have not yet been updated to contain build 26100.2033 and still have build 26100.1742 though

Yes I knew about the 2133 version with media creation tool but the KB5044284 was not installed/integrated for some reason, meaning that windows update asked to install (and failed) after I performed the in place upgrade with that 2133 ISO, so my only hope was to try the 1742 ISO which succeeded in letting me install the update.

Please find the next fix script attached to address the remaining packages.

Thanks for the script.

I have done a second in place upgrade with the latest ISO and now it works apparently. I leave it like this beacuse everything look fine so far.

Thanks again!

I've just clean-installed 24H2 and upgraded it to KB5044284 level 2152 successfully. Got it all customized the way I wanted it, and decided to do a final check for updates. It is now trying to install this update again even though it's already installed. It downloads OK but fails soon after install starts with the 0x800736b3 error. Any ideas?
