Wowzers. In other words, case price = high end motherboard price. And then we have these ridiculous (NVidia) GPU costs? Makes me want to cry.Indeed. This is the conundrum. I could make a few suggestions but to find quality in cases these days would require that you raise the bar $100-$200 higher. It is very difficult to find the sort of craftsmanship we are talking bout unless one is willing to pay around $500 for an empty case.
And all these before the T(rump)ariffs go into effect.
I appreciate that. What have you found for $400+ that you would be comfortable buying? It's ridiculous but it's true. I've spent weeks looking.
Yeah. Ministry of Truth herelittle more than a metal box with a glass window. 'Less is more' seems to be the theme these days. How positively Orwellian!
True. And in the same theme, how many manufacturers still make stick-shift cars?. I am going to hang on to my 2007 Cayman 5-speed until I can't buy gas anymore.Call me old fashioned but I'm of the persuasion that utility comes first when it comes to PCs. So much the better if you can get quality with that utility. Alas, that is the crux of it and all I can say is I'm glad I still have my ugly ThermalTake Level 10 GT. They just don't make 'em like they used to.
