Just downloaded Windows 11..now running out of space on C Drive

5 In the top-left of File Explorer, click on New, Folder

The New Folder will appear with its name highlighted. Just type Documents and it will edit the name, Don't click or move the mouse.

6 click on your new 'Documents' folder and then click on the 'Paste' icon (my screen looks different as I don't have D:)

Decided to try the above answer that you suggested as it looked easier for me to understand
But didnt get very far.!. Click on the box next to "name" to select all the folders..I coudn't find the right place to make it select all the folders
2. Even if i did do I don't want Music Photos and Videos i sent there to be highlighted
And it very hard to select some files and not others.
So still stuck

Have done it now Dont know if its worked
As since I copied the files they are still there in D too
So My Digital Editions and Kindle are still conncted to the old files
Do I delete the old files
I have reinstalled ADE but it just freezes now

Yes all those files will be in two places. You can safely delete the old ones. I wanted you to be safe, that's why we copied them.

You have been very kind to me thank you. Will delete the files then. Don't know if the files in the new Documents folder will still work but hopeful. Can I add more to it and treat it like the old documents folder?
Know My Digital Editions does not now work. But will delete the old copy and re install fingers crossed.

Starting to wish I had not updated to Windows 11 even though I like it and it's taking awhile to find things it's so different.
Also had a new Virgin Hub and it is not finding my 3 smart plugs now.
My printer has stopped working. But that happened just before I installed Win 11.
Technology is always a problem.
But hopefully Documents will be fine

Still trying to sort out Kindle App. But My Digital Editions is ok downloading my books from the Library
So getting somehere lol
Printer is HP 3540 Read about it on the internet But its still stopped connecting. It was on WiFi while working. Dragged it out of the cupboard and tried it through usb. It printed a test page and then stopped Wont connect now though
Smart Plugs are TCP. £ worked until last week
Only 1 now
Only differences are
1. I installed Windows 11
2. I had a new Virginmedia Hub 6.
All my gadgets connected to the Hub. Firestick TV Cromecast Phones and Tablets. But only 1 smart plug
Took ages to do them all, adding the new password

I would remove the Printer and then add it again. If you can find the IP address from the printer panel, you can add it manually as an IP printer. This usually works better than adding it as WSD or whatever other protocol. Go to Settings, Bluetooth and Devices, Printers and Scanners and click to Add a printer. After a while you see the text "My printer is not in the list" or similar, click "Add manually". Select "Add with IP address or network name" and press Next. Change type to Auto or TCP/IP and type the IP address at the middle box. Click next and proceed as appropriate.

In my experience with Hp and Canon printers, it's best to uninstall all the printer software from Settings...Apps and then download and reinstall.
Set the printer up using a USB cable and only then configure wi-fi.

If the printer is already connected to WiFi, treat it as a network printer, connect using its IP address.

I can't see an IP Address as the square panel on the printer never has any text on it.
My printer doesnt show as On now on the computer.
But the wi fi button flashes on the printer.
As I say it connected by USB the other day But no change when I put it back on the shelf
The Smart Plugs are TCP and were fine when I had Windows 10
No problem with anything
I am wondering if it is the new virginmedia 5ghz router I have now
As the 2ghz one was fine.
It only seems to connect on 5ghz.

The flashing Wi-Fi light on the printer usually means it is not connected. Yes, most devices work in the good old 2.4GHz band, very few support the newer and faster 5GHz band. So check your router's settings if you can enable 2.4GHz. If it is already enabled but has the same SSID for both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz, some devices might be confused to pick the correct settings. Try renaming one band to differentiate them before trying to connect your printer again. If you cannot read the printer screen, you have to download the full software from HP and then connect it using USB. In many setup wizards there are three options, Connect with USB, Connect with Wi-Fi for the first time, Connect with Wi-Fi (already connected). Choose to connect with Wi-Fi for the first time option. This will instruct you to connect your printer with USB to pass the network parameters. After the printer is successfully connected to Wi-Fi it will be added wirelessly to your computer. If you already have some HP software, go to Settings, Applications, Installed Applications and remove every HP related software. Restart your computer and reinstall the full HP pack. Choose to connect with Wi-Fi for the first time and proceed.

I tried to connect with USB and it printed a test page. but putting it back on the shelf it said it's offline
Used the Print and Scan Doctor but it just sent me round and round and eventually asked for the IP Address
Which I have no idea of.
I have had a computer for many years but never had problems like this
The only thing it can be, for the Smart Plugs ( I bought 2 more still the same) and Printer not working is..
Downloading Windows 11 or the ne Virginmedia Router I had last week
And am not about to mess with settings so stuck

If the printer software is messed up, you remove it all, restart and reinstall and reconfigure it. That's exactly what I suggested. Been there done that. I have spend hours to make stubborn printers work. I have seen an HP model that the software had a bug and would not detect the printer properly. HP had two different applications for this model, neither of which worked alone. The solution was to install one of it, then install the other to correct some settings and make the printer work. Don't remember which model it was and what the applications were. So not being able to connect the printer to Wi-Fi is rather common and fixable. There are weirder cases than yours, be optimistic!

For the smart plugs you should delete them from the app and then add them again. This should 'remember' you new wifi settings.

But, please, answer questions. I am getting a little frustrated.
