Solved Laptop cursor

Hello

I have seen many Windows 10/11 laptops which have a different cursor to all desktops I have used. Personally, as someone on the desktop I like the laptop cursor. I could not find anything about it online.

To describe it, it is slightly bigger than the desktop one (see attached image, of my desktop one), however unlike if you increased the size of the desktop one, does not have a thicker border or sandtimer loader.

So if anyone on laptop could provide me with the cursor files, as I would definitely like to use this cursor.

In the mouse settings select 'additional mouse settings' and in the old properties try different schemes.

Thank you

I haven’t made it clear in the original post, but when I upsize the mouse pointer, even by 1 increment, it is unlike the laptop cursor as it has a thicker border and is too large.

Hmm.. it seems like you have that cursor I am after. Are you on a laptop?

Just to verify, have you tried using different schemes for different sizes to see if one may work better?

Yep

Having tried using the legacy menu I got to this:

This is very close, it is the Default scheme on large, BUT IT IS SLIGHTLY TOO BIG!

I will probably have to settle for this but I wish there was a medium.

Can't you change the size in settings? Mouse pointer is on a laptop in my image.

If you want a certain style cursor you know there's tons of custom cursors you can download and install vs the default cursors. I'm sure you could find something you like. This is my current origami cursor.

Ive used rw designer before, is there anyway you can just size down a cursor in the program, if you have used it before.

I don't use a third party program. You can go to the DeviantArt - Discover The Largest Online Art Gallery and Community and download their free cursor packs. Most come with an install.inf file to install the cursors into your Windows cursor directory with the defaults. Just right click the inf file and select install.

Looks like you are using the large cursor.

Mouse pointer size is set to two and Mouse Properties -Scheme is set to 'Windows Default (system scheme)'

With Windows Default system scheme, and changed back to None,

The setting for None also has the egg timer which it didn't originally.

I really appreciate this. I have tried both files and I'm not sure if I am getting something wrong but they are slightly wider than they are meant to be I believe?

I am thinking that laptop and desktop cursors are different. I could take this cursor file into rw-desginer and reduce the border. Update coming soon.

Possibly because of how I converted them into cursor files. I can try again if you like to. :)

Let me know if you have an image in mind, I can make a cursor file out of it.
