Today is the start of the forecast heatwave here. It's an Amber extreme heat warning for me today, it's a Red one tomorrow.
Today I'm trialling the official advice for keeping the house cool. That is to have left all the Windows open over night to let the cool air in. Then when the outside air temperature rises, close all the windows so the warmer air cannot get in, and draw the curtains to stop the sun getting in.
The temperature indoors and outside is currently about 20°C / 68°F. It's forecast to be 30°C / 86°F this afternoon - let's see how cool it stays indoors in the shade......
