They tend to keep on top of mine because it is a bus route, but we have many roads like that in the area.

We don't have school busses to the same extent in this country. If they go to school by bus it will be the regular public transport. Only a few schools have dedicated busses.

Same here, at least all that cloud stops the night time low dropping much. It's supposed to be in the upper 40's/low 50's by night for the next week or so.

Friday looks like being the one exception, dry, mostly sunny, with a high of 11°C/52°F and dropping to 5°C/40°F over night..

Morning Bree. Yeah, the cloud cover is important in keeping night time temps up during the winter months.

thank you, everything (apart from the weather) is going well today. Hope yours is a good day too.

In case any of you were worried about my prolonged 'radio-silence' yesterday, it had nothing to do with my health. It had everything to do with a challenge I had set myself: getting a Windows for Workgroups 3.11 machine installed and on my network. In all it has taken over 24 hours work to get it going. I had forgotten just how much Microsoft had improved their install/setup process over the last 30 years.... :lmao:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

That was the first windows version we used at work. They dropped Windows for a while after that and used OS2. Didn't come back to Windows until XP.

If I recall correctly, my first Windows at work was Win 3.1, but that was soon upgraded to WfW3.11. That was where I first started to hone my support skills. Although I was officially employed as an electronics engineer I soon gained a reputation as the 'go to' person in my department for help with the PCs.
