Thanks for the info @WXC a vax has never been mentioned to me. I think mine was called "isolated shingles" and cleared up without any problems or lasting issues. Our is the NHS National Health Service and they are excellent but really suffering from covid, extra cases, staff off ill with it and a backlog of waiting because of the covid and lockdowns. The worst thing here is our GP surgery, very hard to get to see a doctor

I'm pleased it cleared without side effects. Whenever you can, you really should look into the vax, simply because shingles can recur.
