FF 116.0 is the first stable version to require minimum Win10 as 115.x is the last one to support Win7/8.x - noted in the FF 116 system requirements page on Aug. 1.

Got 118 Nightly late last night, and 116 stable today.

Oddly, though, when Nightly went to update to a newer 118 build today, it failed, and I had to manually download and install it. This hasn't happened on Nightly builds to me in a very long time.

Read somewhere else also they are dropping support for 8.1 and previous. Guess that's why they made a 115esr. Just guessing.

Just curious, if given the choice, are there any advantages or disadvantages to using the .msi vs .exe installers? I noticed the .exe install allows choosing the directory to install to as well as allowing to allow shortcuts at deskop, start menu and taskbar.

I use the .exe option and never have any problems.
