Where should it be?

I'm not clear what your problem is with "(tiny "X" at the edge of the right side of the tabs)".
The X placeholder should have even space on 3 sides...

0005134.png

... his is at the edge, (pun intended!!!), of the Tab...

I don't think that's standard; Isn't it provided by a "CloseTab" extension?
It's standard in every browser (Edge Stable/Canary), Chrome, Firefox, Brave as each tab has a x next to it as the following is from Microsoft.

Update to 117.0.2045.31 (Stable). Does anybody have this problem (tiny "X" at the edge of the right side of the tabs)?

View attachment 71225

Edge menus have not got the rounded corners with acrylic effect yet. Also, dragging the "Sidebar" items to organize them doesn't work. These two features were supposed to be released with version 117 (Stable).
Nope, this is what my stable 117.0.2045.31 looks like:

Nope, this is what my stable 117.0.2045.31 looks like:
You didn't read all my posts. It's OK with the standard theme/skin. You can enable the new theme (as MS says: new look! or Windows 11-ish, Rounded Tabs Flag) and check if this problem exists on your 117 (my 117 has this problem)! The "X" has to have a bit of space from the right side of the tab's edge.

I think Edwin confirmed. They ruined it again... Case closed!

Yeah, because you posted it in a later post but it works fine for me, mines was on Default and I changed it to Enable after your reply.

Both, in the previous response... the top one is Stable and the bottom one is Canary as the experimental tab does show the version number right under it.

Anyways...

Stable:

Canary:

So unlike Edwin's sample, the X never shifted closer to the border.

To be honest, I never paid attention to what it looked like with the pointer on top of it since I would be closing the tab in question and it's not like the pointer will be there for more than 1/8th a second.

What the hell is this?! It has different places and sizes from User to User! It reminds me of new office (multitasking) buttons! God give you patience! I think mine is in a better place. I am OK with my (Edge) new look!

If you didn't enlarge it, I wouldn't even notice especially on a 15" 3840x2160 notebook display but the results in Canary are the same as Stable after I enlarged the screenshots in Snagit.

Welcome to the party!

I didn't mean the mouse hover action on the box was important to me. I just needed to see the box (exact) place. But the "X" place is on my nerves (sometimes, I use it to close the tabs). Maybe my brain is unbalanced and can't handle balance!

Is it worth a cent?
Middle-click doesn't work to open a new tab (in Edge), but it works for closing the tab (I use it sometimes).

A better option is implemented in Edge (I like it and use it a lot).
