I have never had any problems with Nvidia Drivers, other than some downloads used to remove my taskbar icon. I shall download in a moment or two

Be wary that if you use DDU to clean drivers, and have installed the latest preview update, it causes problems for some with booting into safe mode. The screen would flicker and the task bar would not populate. The work around seems to be booting to safe mode w/networking.

I can confirm this problem.

I don't think DDU is the problem. I think it has to do with driver. I think it's more of a driver slimmer issue, but I could also be wrong.
It also might be an update issue.

I will try to run this driver on an older version of windows.

Testing to find it.

I agree that DDU is not the problem. Based on information on other forums it would appear it is the cumulative update that is the problem. I was able to boot into safe mode w/networking and use DDU. Driver has installed w/o any issues.

Yeah, so that was the conclusion I also got.

The only way t know if it's the update pack is to run the option with a regular release.

I'm trying to find time to test.

OK,
Here is the update. Latest Windows update 22000.652 and .651 are causing issues with windows reboot in safe mode.
Issues have nothing to do with nVidia driver update, DDU, or Driver slimmer.

As mentioned above, to circumvent problem, boot in safe mode with networking enabled.

New driver runs fine running 2000.613 and boots fine with .613

So far, all points to the MS update.

I'm not sure about those updates. They seem to come from your board vendor? It's in the adrenalin package 22.3.1 under drivers/display

I found it here, I had blocked the update through the registry, but I would like to block only the nvidia drive.

You need to use the registry option or a group policy.

open regedit
go to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceInstall

Add 2 new folders
\Restrictions\DenyDeviceIDs

Then get card ID from Device manger and add a string for each ID (I use one string but add them all if you want) or add 1 string and try to update.
You have to disable that setting to update your card.
