The one I use is solidigm synergy. They are not the same.

It says it can do the same thing so I figured worth a try.

It provides access to drive information, health, SMART Attributes, Firmware Updates, diagnostic scans, and secure erase.

But I agree, just use diskpart as I quoted from @hsehestedt on the previous page.

I am not sure what diskpart clean all does. I havent seen any documentation. Perhaps it instructs the sdd controller to do a secure erase, which involves raising the voltage. But I dont know if it does that.

Micron’s proprietary firmware instructs the SSD controller to send a BLOCK ERASE command to all NAND devices on the drive—including the NAND space reserved for overprovisioning and retired blocks, areas which are inaccessible by the host computer or the user.
The entire user space and over-provision space are completely and irretrievably erased. Every block in the user space is ready to accept new host-written data, moving the drive to its highest performance state, FOB (fresh-out-of-box).
However, some data must be left in place for normal drive operation. This includes the following required data: SSD firmware copies that reside in the NAND, all SMART data, and retired NAND block mapping tables.

Parameter Description
all Specifies that each and every sector on the disk is set to zero, which completely deletes all data contained on the disk.

Remarks

On master boot record (MBR) disks, only the MBR partitioning information and hidden sector information is overwritten.

On GUID Partition Table (gpt) disks, the gpt partitioning information, including the Protective MBR, is overwritten. There is no hidden sector information.

A disk must be selected for this operation to succeed. Use the select disk command to select a disk and shift the focus to it.

You really don't want to use CLEAN ALL if you value the life of an SSD. It is far better to use Secure Erase which tells the SSD to forget all the data, rather than overwriting it all. Most manufacturers provide a utility to do a secure erase, Samsung Magician includes it for example.
