Has anyone used the option to password protect Macrium Reflect images and if so your experience?

No. Any passwords are stored encrpted so I don't see the need.

It's my understanding that the image files are not encrypted. Why else would there be an option to password protect them?

True, but my poit was that even if someone stole my external drive with my Macrium image files on it, they could not access my passwords which are encrypted by RoboForm. If I choose not to password-protect the image than all images could be viewed.

OK. What made me curious was that I just reinstalled Windows 11 and I have yet to turn BitLocker ON.

I gave up on BL after too many times when I had to find and enter the key such as when booting into safe mode. I could probably use BL now as Macrium Reflect means I hardly ever need safe mode as it's quicker just to restore an image. Even if someone stole an image it would not enable them to access my bank or email.

I use BitLocker but whenever I utilize Safe Mode, I first turn OFF BitLocker. When done with Safe Mode, I turn BitLocker back ON again.
