I think it has something to do with that thing where you grab something and choke it until money falls out the crankshaft. I believe I read that when you do it with two hands, your car starts faster.

Not a D thing. Seeing those goofy changing pics in my search box grated on my nerves for days until I figured out how to get rid of it,...right behind "search the web with bing results" when searching from the search box. Totally useless stuff. I can't believe anyone would want it or be concerned if they didn't have it but guess "different strokes for different folks" since we've had 4 or 5 threads about it lately.

Re the Search stuff on the taskbar. I have hidden it (Personalisation > Taskbar > Search = Hide). If I want to search from Windows, I hit Winkey + S and start typing.

Call me a cynic, but there must be lots of people at MS who've convinced their bosses that dreaming up these silly 'features' is continuously improving the OS. :scream:
