Why is that? My laptop does and every other computer I look has that option. Should I re install the driver?

Thanks for your response. My problem is that this option "Bluetooth devices discovery" is not there at all. So, I wonder why not. I find it in every other computer I look.

Yes, I deleted my answer as I realized that was the option that was missing for you.
The specs in your profile do not include any network/Bluetooth info but I must say that option has always been present, so it's a new one for me.

My Bluetooth system works and there are several devices running. But that option is simply not there. Is there any other option that must be on so that window shows up?

Post a screenshot of what you’re missing (obv from your other pc) and I’ll see if I can find the ID to test launching it from the run box

The first photo is what my computer Bluetooth and devices look like. The settings related to discovery advanced setting are not there.
The second shot is what I see on every other computer.

Bluetooth also does not show in device manager...

If the device manager doesn’t recognize the Bluetooth tx/rx device, try reseating its physical connection to get it to populate in the device manager. Is this a laptop or desktop?

Also - you may want to crop that 2nd image. Your email is showing on it.

Come to think of it; I don't think Bluetooth was ever installed on this desktop. It looks like I need to install it.

Come to think of it; I don't think Bluetooth was ever installed on this desktop. It looks like I need to install it.
Are you sure your desktop even has Bluetooth hardware? Most desktops don't. I had to add this dongle to get Bluetooth on my 2 desktops:
ASUS USB-BT500 Bluetooth 5.0 USB Adapter with Ultra Small Design, Backward Compatible with Bluetooth 2.1/3.x/4.x

BTW, there was nothing for me to install. When I plugged in this dongle Windows automatically installed a driver for it.

Yes. That might be it. I'll buy that. When I searched for Bluethoot anything, there was nothing to be found, and I never added any Bluethoot devices because I never needed them. But I bought an XP pen pro 14 gen2 that comes with some kind of mini keyboard for shortcuts, and it was BT. Thank you for your help.

I bought the Bluetooth adaptor you suggested. It worked like magic. Inserted in the slot and the Bluetooth function came right up. I had everything running in less than a minute. Thanks

BTW, in 2020 I bought TP-Link UB400 (Bluetooth 4.0) adapters. However, I started having intermittent range problems. Six months ago I replaced them with the ASUS USB-BT500 (Bluetooth 5.0) adapters.
