I don't think I ever had a power supply with color-coded wires.I bought a power supply last year and it did not even come with color coded wires. They were ALL black. I might have passed on it but I needed it fast and Amazon delivered it 6am the next morning.
On my recently built computer, I used and old Antec 850 power supply I had laying around. The fan on that one soon became very noisy, which was probably the reason it was laying around. Cable management on that one was a mess because of the big wad of cables.
When I replaced it, I went with a fully modular one, the very nice EVGA Supernova 650 G6. I understand it's made by Seasonic. All the wires are black, but I get to choose which ones I put in the case.
