New Version of ExplorerPatcher

Since the Windows 10 start menu is one of the key features in ExplorerPatcher and broken with the 2023 cumulative patch, it certainly needs an update :D

I've now switched to StartIsBack and only enabled the UI improvements and the taskbar. The Windows 11 Start menu is okay, not as horrendous as the one from Treshold, but it could be better without all the recommended stuff and the "All Apps" button at the top :D For this reason, I still prefer the Windows 10 menu, as it combines everything.
Mine works fine, unless you are using an insider build, then it probably won't as it is notupdated to work with insider builds as it makes too much work for Valinet constantly updating

You're able to have the Win10 start menu on 22H2? I'm using the most recent release of EP (22621.608.51.6), and lost the WIn10 menu with no way to get it back.

I keep thinking I might need to just use the default Win11 taskbar & menus, and adapt. I know there's a way, but Quick Launch and Toolbars have been my life since Win98 (almost never use the start menu), so it will be weird/annoying to do extra clicks to get where I want to go.

Just did a quick try with that method. It's actually not bad for common app and file names. I do have a lot of items in the toolbar menus such as folders that contain dozens of other files. Remembering all those file names is above my pay grade. 😄 But your method is one way to access a lot of things I need.

actually i started run bing bar on my desktop with access to my bookmark/favorites :D hahahaha
i hate too many add on running at w10 and below (search services running on my w10 with full power) ... now.. as i can see windows manage memory better, i set edge run on boot with desktop bar...
i use explorer patcher only to get taskbar smaller and bring t-clock back (i need the alarm only. not the clock format actually :p )

I'm on stable build. The menu itself works fine, sure, but as soon you uninstall or install any UWP/WinUI app, all of these shortcuts dissapear and only lists shortcuts (.lnk).. and there's no way to fix it except to create a new User account or reinstall Windows.

You're able to have the Win10 start menu on 22H2? I'm using the most recent release of EP (22621.608.51.6), and lost the WIn10 menu with no way to get it back.
I use OpenShell for the win 10 start menu, it is very customisable

I agree, unfortunately the Settings and Defender app is also UWP and thus also disappears from the Start menu :D It's ok as long as you install ExplorerPatcher on a pre 2023 Windows 11 22H2 build and then update. Just don't try to switch to the Win11 menu afterwards out of boredom or whatever, as this will also break the Windows 10 menu.

EDIT: Added comparison image to show how big the impact of this bug really is:

I do not use defender, sounds like it is a good job I have an image to go back to, and that was when my important awcc app went UWP, I could use the full installer but found it easier to create a shortcut on the taskbar

For some reason, everything seems to be growing bigger in Windows 11.
And have a look at all the wasted space above, below and in between the icons.
Maybe they're trying to introduce it to infants.
Has anyone else noticed since KB5022913, the Taskbar wasted space has grown even bigger?
Especially on the system tray side. It's getting ridiculous.
