Solved "No printers were found" on network after upgrading to Windows 11

I still think you would be better off connecting the printer to the Wi-Fi router. All of your devices with Wi-Fi connected to your network would be able to find the printer and you wouldn't have to leave a computer running for access.

Many of you ElevenForum old-farts timers haven't noticed.

For security reasons, W11 22H2 updated the default RPC protocols used for printer sharing and it longer talks to older Window's. If all of your PC's are running 22H2 or later, you won't see any problems.
RPC connection updates for print in Windows 11

Download this reg file, and run it on the host PC. Restart Windows.
Now all your PC's can add this host's printers.
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers\RPC]
"RpcUseNamedPipeProtocol"=dword:00000001
"RpcProtocols"=dword:00000007
"ForceKerberosForRpc"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print]
"RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled"=dword:00000000

All the computers in my home network are running 23H2, and I needed to make registry changes to all of them (my host computer, and the others that wanted to access its printer) before the remote computers could access the printer. Are you saying that the registry file download is NOT necessary for 22H2 and more recent? It certainly was for my computers.

@garlin. I have a Windows 10 computer that was updated to Windows 11 23H2 and can connect to my wireless printer that my new Windows 11 connects to. It did it automatically with no registry editing.

You may have had printers already shared before the change. The reg file reverts the RPC settings to the old one, which is definitely required for clean installs. Unless you want to check what the existing reg values on every PC, it's just easier to reset everything to pre-22H2 values and not worry.
