I control the LED through ASUS software. I usually have them off. I wanted the 64 GB capacity but for that paid a price in performance (latency and bandwidth) over a 2x16GB B-die trident-z RGB pair I had. That is with them booth overclocked to a good degree. I have this 2x32GB pair OC to 4266 18-24-24-42 with tight timings. The 2x16GB 3200 I had OC to 4100 16-16-34 with slightly tighter timings.

With the 64GB I can dedicate up to 1/2 the memory to block level disk caching (PrimoCache) which is persistent across reboots). These speeds up program loading and boot up times, and other operations significantly. Basically can have all programs and OS load at memory speed memory shortly after boot.

I meant the Asus Software. . . lol I only have 16GB in my PC. . Anything over 16GB is overkill, to be honest, BUT, if i had the money, I'd probably upgrade mine too

I got 3 of these for future use on my desktops as I have a feeling 250 GB SSD's are just about obsolete, although none of my current Samsung drives have even died.

I like to keep my system drive around 80 GB which includes all installed programs and user folders anything bigger and backup time increases although steam games are kept on an external drive.

That's a good hatdware to play around with.I got about 6 different SSDs running on my test machine alternately.

I also use the Samsung 250GB SSD except I use them w/ a Sabrent SSD to USB 3.0 adapter.
I use Hasleo WinToUSB to install (from a ISO) or clone another OS to the SSD, it gives me 4 different partition schemes also.Clone n Start External SSD (2)b.JPG

Hi Jeff! I'm not in a hurry for the air compressers to arrive. I just find it miss leading. On my Ford Explorer I have one tire that has a very small leak. it takes two months or more before it loses enough air pressure to set off the warning so i'm definetly not in a hurry. Just being curious.
