I was able to use the commands after I right clicked on Cmd prompt "run as admin". Am I not the Admin? How would I log into Admin account?. Earlier, after I woke laptop, I was told to change my password so I left it blank.

OMG. I put it to sleep and it wants a password, wtf. I'm using the phone with teeny keyboard now so bear with me, I clicked reset password and was "told" I needed removable media. I used a USB that is sitting next me but obviously the Password Reset Wizard won't work since I never created a password reset disk. Good thing I got my work done before this mess

It seems you may have inadvertently set a password for your account. Earlier you mentioned a command net user Owner Password that failed with error 5. If you had then used that command in an admin command prompt it would have worked and would have set your password to Password

Try that, and if you get in you can change your password back to a blank one.

I did try "password" as password with many others :) When I used the command you mention above (which I think was last night), I'm pretty sure I was not using "run as admin". I'm using my tablet now so I have a real keyboard and bigger screen :O

For passwords capitalisation matters, did you try Password with a capital 'P'?

OMFG, NO! capital P worked. I get the screen "let's finish setting up your PC". I said "remind me in 3 days" don't have time for that!! I did use a password prior to this new SSD so I was glad it didn't ask me for one since July 18. I guess I'll use a password from now on. Hopefully I'll figure out how to change to the old one! I'll figure it out but at least I know what it is now. I appreciate all your help and the others!! The sun is shining so it's a good day!

lol good deal. now that you have the password set... open Command Prompt as Admin* and run:

wmic useraccount where Name="%username%" set PasswordExpires=false
net user Owner
*NOTE that after Owner in the second command, there is NO space. just press enter after typing it.
that will set your password to never expire and then the second command will remove your password.
