Solved Pc Health Check says incompatible processor incorrectly.

My new build intended to run W11 was first run yesterday with W10 PRO 64 and activated with my MS account. All the updates were carried out but when I ran Pc Health Check, the processor failed. The cpu is an Athlon 3000G which is certainly on the list of compatible processors. I have just updated the BIOS to the latest on the Gigabyte A320M-H motherboard without any success. As it is, Microsoft are not ever going to offer the update, so I might have to use the ISO of W11 that I have, which I used on my second (listed) machine rather than wait for the offer to turn up.
Has anyone heard of a cpu being removed from the list of compatible processors?

It is on the list, I would look for a more up to date list to see if it's on there

No, and your Athlon 3000G is still on the latest version of the list dated 2nd December.

It's more likely that the PC Health app has it missing from its list of supported processors. This would be a bug in the PC Health app, but that won't stop you getting Windows 11.

No, that's not true. The checks Windows Update makes for W11 compatibility are completely independent of the PC Health app and has it's own set of criteria.

If Windows Update has run its check then you should see the results in Settings > Windows Update. If you see nothing at all about Windows 11 in Windows Update then it doesn't mean you won't get W11, it just means Windows hasn't yet got round to testing your system for compatibility. A failure to meet specs looks like this:



There is a similar notice with a green tick if it does meet the specs, but it's not your turn yet in the phased rollout. That one says:

Great news - your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11.
Specific timing for when it will be offered can vary as we get it ready for you"

This one means the PC is up to spec, but you need to wait for it to be offered. When it is, you should see this:

I have been into the BIOS to check up on ftpm, TPM and secure boot which are all enabled, but something I have done has truely messed up the BIOS. By magic the BIOS is now booting automatically and when trying to exit to Windows will not shut. I have removed the passwords that I had setup, set optimised defaults and even tried resetting the BIOS with the jumpers and even removing the battery, but no luck.
Now that secure boot has been enabled, there is no way to disable it.

I do not see why would you bother with the Check app. Just install Windows 11 and be done with it. That's what I did anyway.

I have sorted out the secure boot with forum help from Navy LCDR and reinstalled W10 and everything is good except for the Athlon 3000G still being flagged as unsuitable. I have a DVD of W11 to hand and will be performing a clean install. This pc that I am using now has an Athlon 3000G and was upgraded via the dev channel and then changed to beta.
Update, I performed a clean install with a DVD of W11 on Christmas day and activated it via my Microsoft account, and everything is ok, no problems with the 3000G at all.
