In my case I think my age is chasing me. When I was 16 and 17 I enjoyed looking older. I never had a problem getting served at the bars. When I turned 18 the legal age was dropped to 18 and that was the start of me not liking looking older. My wife was the opposite. She looked younger than her age. I don't even want to count the times she was mistaken as being my daughter.

I haven't kept up with this thread but today I started reading it again and have replied to some old post. With that said I want to say that even though I'm almost 69 and I refuse to totally grow up. As an example I still enjoy watching the old cartoons I grew up with. The cartoon Popeye character to this day is still my hero. I have two Popeye t-shirts that I wear. Quoting Popeye, I tell people that I yam what I yam because I yam what I yam.

Well, here's from today.... just back from the hospital.
Surgery was Thursday (the 7th), afternoon.

Well, here's where they found all the cheese steak hoagies I've eaten...

Just got back home. Spent three days in the hospital... they stitched the Carotid artery shut, after removing all the cholesterol... and super glued the muscles and skin shut after that. The sorest part after the surgery, was the right side of my Adam's apple and throat. From the intubation...

Surgery for me was just last month. A little slow going up and down the stairs but Doc says I'm healing well. So far I've not had any surgery in the way of arteries but nearly died from gall bladder surgery and they had to keep me in the hospital for 3 weeks. It was gruelling.
