Hey all,
I have a HP Pavilion x360 laptop. Whenever I run Windows anything, the fan is loud as f***. But when I run Linux there is no noise from my fan. Why is this?

Maybe check which power plan you are on, in Control Panel?
If your power plan is on ultra, kill-all, take no prisoners... that might be why your fans are loud, on Windows but not on Linux.

Even on a huge desktop with 9 fans, I only run on "Balanced".

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
